What is a Google disavow file?
A disavow file is a plain text file you upload to Google Search Console to tell Google to ignore certain backlinks when assessing your site. It is useful when you have toxic or spammy links pointing to your domain that you cannot get removed manually.

How to upload a disavow file to Google Search Console
Once you have downloaded your file, uploading takes less than a minute.
Open Google Search Console
Go to search.google.com/search-console and select the property you want to disavow links for.
Go to the Disavow links tool
Navigate to Links, then click Disavow links in the top right. The tool is only visible if Google has detected links that could be a problem.
Upload your file
Click Upload disavow list and select the .txt file you downloaded. Google will process it within a few weeks.
