Crawly is built by Niko Moustoukas at Limely, a web agency based in the UK.

At Limely, technical SEO audits are part of everyday client work. For years, that meant paying Screaming Frog licences for the team, running audits in a Java app that felt out of place on a Mac, and spending more time filtering spreadsheets than actually fixing problems.

Crawly started as a side project to fix that. A fast, native macOS crawler that feels at home on Apple Silicon, saves crawl history automatically, and - when Claude Code arrived - connects directly to your AI coding tool so you can query crawl data in plain English without leaving your terminal.

It is free. No page cap, no trial period, no licence fee. SEO tooling has been unnecessarily expensive for too long, and a crawling tool is something every SEO professional and agency should have access to without paying hundreds of pounds a year.
