Data refreshed monthly.

How the rankings work

Authority Score is calculated from harmonic centrality across a web graph of indexed domains. Each domain is ranked by how central it is to the global link graph - the more high-authority sites point to it, and the more those sites are themselves well-linked, the higher the rank.

The score is mapped to a 0-100 scale using a rank-based formula, so mid-tier sites score in the 20-50 range rather than clustering near the top.

Rank-based scoring

Scores reflect global position - not just raw link count. A domain at rank 1,000 sits in the top 0.001% globally.

Updated monthly

The web graph is recrawled and recalculated each month. Rankings reflect recent changes to each domain's link profile.

Filter by TLD

Switch between .com, .co.uk, .de and more to see authority benchmarks within a specific extension or market.

How SEOs use this list

The top 1,000 is a useful reference in several common SEO and link building workflows.

Benchmarking your own domain

The list gives concrete context for what authority scores mean at the elite end. If your domain scores 45, you can see exactly which sites sit above you and what link profiles they have.

Link prospecting

The highest-authority domains are the most valuable link targets. Use the list to identify the strongest sites in a TLD for outreach campaigns, content partnerships, or digital PR.

Competitor backlink analysis

If a competitor ranks well, check which top-1000 domains link to them. Earning a link from those same sources is one of the most reliable ways to close an authority gap.

Market benchmarking by TLD

Switching to .co.uk shows which UK domains are most authoritative - useful context when pitching link building strategy to clients in specific markets.
