Not always. Authority score correlates with ranking potential, but on-page SEO, content quality, and topical relevance all matter. A specialist site with an authority score of 30 can outrank a generalist with a score of 60 on relevant queries.
Can I compare a brand new site to an established one?
Yes. New domains will have a score of 0 or very low with no referring domains. The comparison still shows you exactly how big the gap is and what you need to build toward.
Why do my scores differ from Moz or Ahrefs?
Each tool uses its own index and algorithm. Domain Authority (Moz) and Domain Rating (Ahrefs) are both proprietary. This tool shows an Authority Score derived from harmonic centrality. Scores are not directly comparable across tools.
